We join the action immediately after Rachael Erstweather has left a bombed out building and is returning to MI86 headquarters through a war torn section of London. With her arms full of books and the sound of workers cleaning up after Jerry’s latest bombing raid the intrepid Royal Marine Captain finds herself in a situation she wishes James was there for.
Information on the real life heroes of both Operation Harling and Operation Gunnerside is at time very sparse, these were men who would say they were simply doing their job and many did not seek the historical notoriety their actions earned them. Regardless of how sparse information may be on these heroes the world owes the brave men and women who served during World War II our eternal gratitude. We have been cleaning up some store issues at Amazon, B&N, Kobo and iBooks. These include things like unifying the author name to Collin Buechler or Collin W. Buechler so we are easier to find on the stores. Also making certain that covers are all correct and that there are no gaps in availability at each bookstore. We have also been working to make pricing uniform across all platforms. With the exception of Skulls for $1.99 on NOOK we are uniform on the pricing of all eBooks. I have been dividing my creative time between two projects. One of course is Dream Factory – The Nightmare Affair; which I am happy to report is nearing the completion of its first draft. The second is a picture book about Monsters, its working title is “What I don’t know about Monsters” and is being composed and illustrated completely on my iPad. This is an exercise in both creativity and proving that these little wunderkind of the tech world can be used for creative purposes.
Using Pages on the iPad for text and layout is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it. The illustrations are the item I am most proud of. While I admit I am not the greatest artist, and the book might would be better served by an actual professional I really wanted to give it a go. After the break are three sample pages from the book for your enjoyment.
